The Most Affordable Thailand Privilege Membership

The Thailand Privilege Bronze membership is the newest tier of the Thailand Privilege program. It was created in response to demand for a lower-cost way to get the Thailand Elite Visa as well as the many convenience benefits of the Thailand Privilege program. While this may change in the future, bronze membership is currently only available from December 15th, 2024 to June 30th, 2025.

What is the Thailand Privilege Bronze Membership?

The Thailand Privilege program enables foreigners to stay in Thailand for extended periods with few requirements. It includes a multiple-entry Thailand Elite Visa and is valid for 5 to 20+ years as well as a wealth of free perks and benefits.

How Does Bronze Membership Differ from the Other Tiers?

There are several key differences between Bronze membership and the Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Reserve tiers.

Price

Bronze membership is the most affordable way to join Thailand Privilege, costing only 650,000 THB (approximately 19,000 USD). It is considerably less expensive than Gold membership (900,000 THB) while retaining most of the same benefits. The membership fee, while significant compared to other Thai visas, only needs to be paid once and there are no annual fees, additional charges, or other financial requirements.

Length of Stay

Much like Gold tier, Bronze provides a Thai Elite Visa with a duration of 5 years. As with all Thailand Elite Visas, you are allowed to stay in Thailand for up to a year each time you visit, after which you must leave the country and re-enter at least a day later to refresh your stay. Fortunately, as a multiple-entry visa, you can do this whenever and however many times you want. Alternatively, you can extend your stay for another year while in the country.

Joint Applications

Again, similar to Gold tier, Bronze memberships cannot include additional family members as higher tiers do. Platinum, Diamond, and Reserve tiers allow primary applicants to add family members to their membership at a reduced price, providing an easy way to get the whole family on the same kind of visa. However with Bronze, each family member must make their own application and pay the full membership fee.

Thailand Privilege Points

The primary reason Bronze membership is more cost-effective than Gold membership is the absence of Thailand Privilege Points. Every other membership tier gets an allotment of points every year to redeem for free perks such as nights at luxury hotels, medical and wellness treatments, domestic flights, and many more. While Bronze members get the same static benefits such as special deals and discounts at leading vendors in Thailand and VIP privileges at Thai airports, you do not get any Privilege Points.

Is Bronze Membership Right for Me?

The Thailand Privilege Bronze Membership is a good option for you if you are looking for a middle ground between comfort and convenience, and simplicity and affordability. Perhaps you are a frequent traveler to Thailand and enjoy the many travel perks and special deals provided by Thailand Privilege, but don’t require luxury extras or leisure perks. Or maybe you want to live long-term in Thailand with extra comforts and special treatments, but would rather decide for yourself which activities and goods you want to spend your money on.

How Do I Complete a Thailand Privilege Bronze Application?

Fill out the application form

Before getting started, it’s best to reach out to a General Sales and Services Agent (GSSA) to help you complete the application form. They are partnered with the government, they fully understand the visa requirements, and their services are free.

Submit the Application

You will need to collect some documentation to submit alongside your application form (see our overview page for more information). Again, a GSSA can assist you with this, both helping you collect and prepare documents and submitting your application packet to the relevant authorities.

Pass the Background Check

After they receive your application, the Thailand Privilege authority will conduct a background check to determine your eligibility, which will typically take 4-6 weeks to complete. As long as you have no record of serious criminal conviction, visa overstay, bankruptcy, or mental incompetence, you will likely pass.

Receive Approval and Pay the Membership Fee

Thailand Privilege will inform you of your successful application with an approval letter along with an invoice. You must then make the required membership fee payment in full, which will be 650,000 THB. You can pay via credit card, bank transfer, cash, Alipay, or cryptocurrency.

Affix Thai Elite Visa to Passport

Once your payment is cleared, you can arrange to affix your new Thai Elite Visa to your passport. This can be done at a Thai Embassy, in Thailand at immigration services, or at the airport when you arrive. Your GSSA can help you coordinate this.
