Regardless of their visa status, all foreigners in Thailand must report their place of residence to Thai Immigration regularly. Some rare Thai visas, such as the Long-Term Resident (LTR) Visa, only require holders to report once a year, but the majority of Thai visas require you to report every 90 days. This includes the Thailand Elite Visa, which is provided by the Thailand Privilege Program. This task is known by expats in Thailand as the "90-day report."

What is the 90-Day Reporting
requirement in Thailand?

The Thai government requires all non-Thai citizens to report where their domicile is every 90 consecutive days since the day they last entered Thailand. This means that if you leave Thailand before reaching the 90-day limit, you don’t need to report. When you next enter Thailand, the clock resets and you will have to report before 90 days have passed since your last entry.

However, the government provides some flexibility in this area. You can report to Thai Immigration up to 15 days early (before the deadline), or up to 7 days after the 90-day period is over and receive no penalty.

If you do not do the 90-day report in time, you will be charged a fine of 2,000 baht. If the police stop you for another reason and they find out you missed the 90-day report, the fine increases to 5,000 baht. Ignoring this rule too often could impact your permanent record and make it difficult for you to get a visa in Thailand or elsewhere in the future.

The first time you do your 90-day report, you must go in person to a Thai Immigration Office to present your passport, reporting form, and supporting documentation. This process can take a while, as the Immigration Offices are often crowded with other foreigners doing their reports.

After the first report, you can utilize online or mail-in options for doing the 90-day report, but these methods are notoriously unreliable, so most people opt for the safer in-person method.

as a Thailand Privilege Member

The Thailand Privilege program unlocks a massive array of free perks and convenient benefits. Among these are several privileges that make doing your 90-day report simpler and easier.

90-Day Report Application Drop-Off and Pick-Up

This service is free and open to all Thailand Privilege members and offers a more convenient way to get your reporting done. Here’s the process:

Prepare your 90-day reporting packet with a completed reporting form, your passport, required supporting documentation, and the fee payment.
You can drop off this packet at a Thailand Privilege office on Mondays from 08:30 to 16:30. The main office is in the Sathorn district of Bangkok, and there are representative offices in both Phuket and Chiang Mai.
The Thailand Privilege staff will perform the submission of your report packet and receive your passport and confirmation slip on your behalf.
On Friday of the same week that you drop off your packet, you can return to the office to pick up your passport and confirmation slip.

90-Day Report Home Pick-Up Service

To avoid the hassle of traveling to the Thailand Privilege office and complete your 90-day report in the most convenient way possible, you can make use of the home pick-up service.

This service operates similarly to the office drop-off, but instead a courier is sent to your home to collect your packet. After Thai Immigration processes your report, they will hand your passport and new confirmation slip back to Thailand Privilege, who will deliver them back to your residence.

While much more convenient, there is a small cost involved depending on your Thailand Privilege membership tier:

Bronze Members: Costs a small service fee for each use.

Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Samut Prakan, Pathum Thani: 850 baht
Phuket and Phang Nga (except Khao Lak): 1,500 baht

Gold, Platinum, and Diamond Members: Available by redeeming 1 Privilege Point per use.
Reserve Members: Unlimited free usage for all Reserve members

If you are a Gold, Platinum, or Diamond member and have spent all your Privilege Points (or just want to save them), you can still make use of the 90-day report delivery service by paying the service fee.

90-Day Reporting in Person at the
