Thailand Privilege Diamond Membership
The Highest Level of Luxury Available to the Public
The Thailand Privilege Diamond Membership is the third tier of the Thailand Privilege Card program. It is the most rewarding of the membership tiers that can be obtained without an invitation, though it does come at a cost. Diamond membership is perfect if you’ll be staying in Thailand for the long haul, and you want the most enjoyable and easy stay possible.
Here, we’ll take a look at what Thailand Privilege Diamond Membership is, the Thai Elite Visa it provides you, how it’s different from the other tiers, and how to apply.
What Is Thailand Privilege Diamond Membership?
The Thailand Privilege program enables foreign nationals to stay in Thailand for extended periods of time with a renewable, multiple-entry Thailand Elite Visa. Membership is valid for 5 to 20+ years and comes with a long list of additional luxury perks not available through other visa programs.
How long your membership is valid for and the extent of your benefits depends on your level of membership, of which there are four:
Gold Membership
Platinum Membership
Diamond Membership
Reserve Membership
Diamond is the third tier that is available to all eligible applicants. It’s not easier or more difficult to obtain than Gold or Platinum, it simply costs more.
How Does Diamond Membership Differ from the Other Tiers?
Diamond tier stands apart from the Gold, Diamond, and Reserve tiers in several areas.
Price
Diamond membership costs a one-time, non-refundable 2,500,000 THB fee (approximately $71,000). It is the highest, most expensive tier you can achieve without an invitation from the Thai government. Family members added at the time of application cost 1,500,000 THB (approximately $42,600) per person.
Length of Stay
With the Diamond membership, you are granted a 15-year stay in Thailand, which is delivered via a 5-year Thai Elite Visa which can be renewed twice. The visa allows for multiple entries, so you don’t need a new one every time you return to Thailand. While you won’t have to leave frequently on “visa runs”, you will still be required to leave Thailand, however briefly, once a year and report to immigration every 90 days while in the Kingdom. Fortunately, you can redeem points awarded by your Diamond membership to get assistance with this process to make it fast and easy, and in early 2024 the program was mulling extending the reporting period to once a year.
Transfers and Joint Applications
Like the Gold and Diamond tiers, Diamond membership cannot be transferred to someone else in the way that a Thailand Privilege Reserve Membership can. However, like with Platinum tier, you can add family members to your membership for a reduced rate. You’ll save some money, and your loved ones will also enjoy all the benefits of a 15-year visa for Thailand. As a reminder, family memberships are not available with the Gold tier.
Points Awarded
The Thailand Privilege card program includes a system available to all tiers that awards Thailand Privilege Points on an annual basis which can then be spent on rewards, such as assistance with immigration or free domestic flights. This system grants you an allotment of points per year based on your membership level.
If you are a Diamond member, you get a large endowment of 55 points per year, significantly more than the 20 and 35 granted to Gold and Platinum tiers respectively. Rewards usually cost either 1, 2, or 3 points. While point cost is the same across all tiers of membership, some rewards are complimentary or come with extra perks at the Diamond tier. For example, Gold and Platinum members must redeem points (or simply pay the entrance fee) to attend certain exclusive networking events, but Diamond members receive complimentary entry.
Note: Points DO NOT roll over into the next year if you do not use them. Your point value will reset to the maximum at the beginning of the calendar year.
What Are the Available Perks and Benefits of a Thailand Privilege Diamond Elite Visa?
Apart from the differences mentioned earlier, the benefits extended to Diamond membership holders closely mirror those available to both higher and lower-tier members. Please refer to the chart below for specifics on what each Thailand Privilege membership package includes.

Platinum Membership | 1,500,000 THB | 10 years | ||

Is Diamond Membership Right for Me?
Diamond membership is your tier of choice if you want the best of the best, but haven’t received an invitation to join the Reserve tier. Since only 100 individuals are in the invitation pool for Reserve membership each year, it’s probably a better idea to pull the trigger on Diamond instead of waiting and hoping. Furthermore, Diamond tier is upgradable to Reserve tier should you receive an invitation later. Invitations are given entirely at the discretion of the Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd., but it is entirely possible that joining Diamond tier will put you on the radar for an invitation.
Diamond tier is also a good option if you are committed to staying for the foreseeable future and need a lengthy 15-year visa for Thailand.
This is because, despite the higher price, the Thailand Diamond Elite Visa is more economical than the lower tiers if you make full use of the benefits. Renewing a 5-year Gold membership twice to get the same length of stay as Diamond would cost an extra 200,000 THB, so if you know you are sticking around it's the smart choice.
Additionally, the higher number of points and improved rewards deliver more value than those granted by lower tiers, but only if you are in the country to use them. If you don’t have the opportunity to spend all of your yearly points, they will go to waste in the next year, but if you are sticking around, you’ll get the maximum value.
How Do I Complete a Thailand Privilege Diamond Application?
Fill out the application form
You can do this by yourself, but to streamline the processes, it’s recommended to apply through an authorized General Sales and Services Agent, as their services are free.
Pay the Application Fee and Send in the Application
Along with the required documents, you will need to send a payment of 50,000 THB as an application fee. However, this amount is deducted from your membership fee if you are approved, which makes it more of a deposit than a fee. If your background check does not pass, you will be refunded this money, but if you withdraw your application or fail to pay the full membership fee after being approved, this money is forfeited.
Pass the Screening Process
After they receive your application packet, the Thailand Privilege authority will perform a background check on you to determine your eligibility, which will typically take 4-6 weeks to complete.
Receive Approval and Pay the Membership Fee
You will be informed of your successful application with an approval letter. Once approved, you must then make the required payment in full, which at this point will be 2,450,000 THB. You can pay via credit card, bank transfer, cash, Alipay, or cryptocurrency.
Affix Visa to Passport
Once the payment is cleared, you’ll be approved to affix the new visa to your passport. This can be done in your home country’s Thai embassy or in Thailand at immigration services. Your visa agent can help you coordinate this.
